- Bauhaus are currently resourcing for Fibre Splicing Engineers for long term contract positions across the UK and in particular Scotland.
Our clients
Our clients include the UK's leading external fibre cabling companies working on FTTH & FTTP projects. Our client’s require Fibre Splicers with experience in fibre splicing into MDUs.
Locations
We are currently resourcing for Fibre Splicers for long term contract positions in Scotland.
Role and Responsibilities
We are currently looking for experienced fibre splicers with their own transport to cover Scotland Central Belt. The successful candidate will be provided with a Fusion Splicer and Testing equipment and sent to multiple MDU sites across the area.
Ideal candidate
Our ideal Fibre Splicer will have experience of the following:- Ability to splice, joint, test, terminate and install fibre optic cables.
- Experience of operation of optical fibre splicers
- Experience in working on live networks, and planning outages.
- Experience working on the BT network
- Experience in following design schematics and management direction.
- Ability to adhere to strict Health & Safety Guidelines and procedures as set out by the client company
Candidate qualifications and attributes- Own transport – Essential
- Street works – Advantageous
- BT accreditations – Advantageous
- Fusion Splicing Machine – Not required
- OTDR Tester – Not required
