Data Cabling Engineer
Oxford
13-week contract
OverviewWe are looking for experienced Data Cabling Engineers to support a project in Oxford on a 13-week contract. This is a hands-on role working across structured cabling installations in a commercial / data centre environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, termination, and testing of Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a and fibre optic cabling
- Installation of containment (tray, basket, trunking, conduit)
- Racking and stacking of cabinets and network equipment
- Labelling and documentation to industry standards
- Testing using Fluke (DSX or similar) and producing test results
- Working to programme and site deadlines
- Maintaining high standards of H&S on site
Requirements
- Proven experience in structured cabling installations
- Experience working in live environments / commercial or DC sites
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
- Valid ECS/CSCS card
- IPAF (preferred but not essential)
- Own tools and PPE
