- Bauhaus Recruitment are currently resourcing for Fibre Engineers for permanent positions in Slough and London
Job Description
Successful candidates will be required for work on the installation of a new network of structured cabling infrastructure and the associated cabling and containment on various sites.- Design and plan fibre-optic networks based on customer requirements
- Install and terminate fibre-optic cables and equipment
- Perform testing and troubleshooting to ensure network performance and reliability
- Provide technical support to customers and team members
- Data Centres and various other sites
- Working Abroad
- Completion of associated Paperwork
- Working to deadlines and to ensure tasks are completed to specification
- Create and understand site specific Risk Assessments
- Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure installation meets their needs

Candidate qualifications and attributes- ECS/CSCS Card
- 3+ years of experience in fibre-optic network design and installation
- Strong knowledge of fibre-optic technologies and standards
- Experience with OTDR, power meters, and other testing equipment
- Experience in the correct use of fusion splicing equipment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites
- Will be organised and able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Will present a positive company image.
- Able to work with schedules and diagrams
- Basic I.T. and networking skills
- Candidates must be able to provide references
