Bauhaus Recruitment is recruiting skilled Structured Cabling Engineers to support a growing programme of work across educational facilities throughout the UK.

We are looking for reliable engineers who take pride in delivering high-quality installations and are interested in securing long-term contract work. Projects range from network upgrades and classroom installations through to complete infrastructure refreshes in schools, colleges and university campuses.

The Role

As part of the installation team, you will be responsible for delivering structured cabling solutions in occupied and new-build educational environments.

Typical duties include:

• Installing structured copper cabling systems.
• Terminating and testing network cabling.
• Installing data outlets, cabinets and patch panels.
• Running and securing cables using appropriate containment systems.
• Completing testing records and installation documentation.
• Working closely with site managers and fellow engineers to meet programme deadlines.
• Maintaining a safe and professional approach while working in educational settings.

Skills & Experience

To be considered, you should have:

• Proven experience installing structured cabling systems.
• Good understanding of network infrastructure installations.
• ECS or CSCS card.
• Your own tools suitable for data cabling installations.
• A positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
• The ability to travel to project locations where required.

A current DBS certificate is beneficial, although we can assist suitable applicants with obtaining one where necessary.
