We are recruiting an experienced Security Project Manager to deliver physical security projects across London.
You will take responsibility for projects throughout the full lifecycle, from planning and mobilisation through to installation, commissioning and final handover. The position requires close coordination with clients, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee security projects from initial planning through to completion
- Develop and manage project programmes, budgets and resource requirements
- Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and other delivery partners
- Monitor progress, costs, risks, quality and Health & Safety
- Maintain regular communication with clients and key stakeholders
- Manage variations and changes to project scope or programme
- Produce accurate project documentation, reports and progress updates
- Ensure installations are completed to the required standards
- Manage commissioning, client sign-off and final project handover
Experience and skills required
- Previous experience managing projects within the physical security industry
- Strong technical understanding of security systems, including:
- CCTV
- Access control
- Video Management Systems (VMS)
- Intruder detection
- Video analytics
- Experience delivering projects across multiple sites
- Ability to manage project budgets, costs and commercial performance
- Strong engineer, subcontractor and supplier management skills
- Experience working directly with clients and other stakeholders
- Good understanding of risk management, quality control and project variations
- Strong communication, organisation and reporting skills
- Experience using Microsoft Project or similar planning software
- Good knowledge of relevant Health & Safety requirements
Desirable experience
- Knowledge of Genetec, Lenel or other leading security platforms
- Experience working within data centres or critical infrastructure environments
- Previous involvement in secure, high-risk or sensitive projects
- A recognised Project Management qualification such as PRINCE2, PMP or APM PMQ
