About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Cabling Project Manager to oversee large-scale retail cabling projects across London and the wider UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing structured cabling installations, coordinating teams of data cabling engineers, and ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a client-facing role, ideal for a Project Manager with a strong technical background in structured cabling systems, fibre optics, and retail roll-out projects.

 Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of retail cabling projects, from initial planning and site surveys through to delivery and handover.
• Coordinate and lead teams of structured cabling engineers and subcontractors across multiple retail sites.
• Oversee installation of Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and fibre optic cabling for retail stores, warehouses, and distribution centres.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and professional project delivery.
• Prepare and manage project documentation, including RAMS, site reports, and project handover packs.
• Ensure health & safety compliance across all sites, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are achieved.
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks to maintain best practice standards.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within data cabling, structured cabling, or network infrastructure projects.
• Background in retail roll-outs, multi-site cabling, or fast-paced fit-out projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of:
• Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a copper cabling
• Fibre optic cabling (splicing, testing, OTDR)
• Containment systems, patching, and cable management solutions
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across London and the UK.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required.
